About Our Council

Local councils help chartered organizations effectively deliver the Scouting program and expand the use of the program to other community groups. Their mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Founded in July, 1913, the Chief Cornplanter Council, BSA is the oldest continually-registered non-merged council in America. The office is located in Warren, PA and the Council serves youth in Warren County and Ludlow, PA.
